Smartphone-Based Foot Measurement Reduces Military Boot Fitting Time by Up to 80%.
AI-supported, smartphone-based foot scanning is set to transform the equipment process of armed forces by eliminating one of its most persistent bottlenecks. Joint trials and current roll-out with a top5 NATO organization confirm that the time required for boot fitting can be reduced by up to 80 percent while significantly improving fit accuracy, comfort, and overall soldier satisfaction. At the same time, error rates and return logistics are substantially minimized. Developed by Berlin AI company Footprint Technologies, the solution operates entirely via smartphone and requires no additional hardware. If the shoe recommendations are combined with a modular comfort footbed system, already standard in the industrial safety footwear sector, it enables measurable gains in ergonomics and operational readiness.
Despite the high quality of many NATAO combat boots, the current fitting process remains manual, time-intensive, and dependent on individual execution. The new digital approach introduces a standardized, data-driven workflow and unlocks further potential, ranging from continuous product optimization based on real foot data to the separation of measurement and distribution processes. Future scenarios include early data capture during recruitment and the provision of perfectly fitted footwear on day one of service.
The technology is already in use by leading European safety footwear manufacturers (like ELTEN, Uvex, Würth-Modyf, U-Power, Abeba, Sixton). Furthermore one Top5-NATO armed force and first police organizations are rolling it out as well. Leading Military boot manufacturers like HAIX, MEINDL, LOWA or PRABOS are already collaborating to get their boots recommended best possible.

Mesocort AI develops AI-powered training and performance analysis for drone operators, instructors and commanders across defense and civilian applications. Our Dronoko platform turns simulation data into structured debriefs, identifies mistakes, tracks progress and helps instructors personalize training at scale. For commanders, it provides clear visibility into training progress, helping them stay aligned with training objectives and maintain readiness for drone operations. Through our partnership with OneArc, we bring these capabilities into established simulation environments.
Our technology builds on AI research into human behavior under pressure and a dataset comprising 6,000 years of behavioral data from 12 million players. Gaming provides a development and validation playground for algorithms that we are adapting to dual-use training. By combining telemetry with visibility, audio and depth information, we connect what an operator could perceive with their actions and outcomes. Synchronized depth maps also provide a foundation for training spatial intelligence models.
Our initial focus is supporting drone operators, instructors and commanders in defense and emergency services, with future applications in firefighting, search and rescue, and infrastructure inspection. Our goal is to make training more scalable, assessment more consistent and operators better prepared for critical situations.

Suite ACRE, is a software platform, capable of integrating as an airspace management layer into any sovereign command and control system in just 3 weeks. The algorithm can prioritize, identify, and react by dynamically configuring the airspace. Its algorithm main value lies in the capability of a real time airspace deconfliction.
Today dozens of drones and manned aircraft need to operate simultaneously, in the same airspace and in real time.
Suite ACRE integrates manned and unmanned aircraft (any drone platform is integrated in less than 72 hours), C-UAS systems, support fire trajectories, everything that impacts the deployment, both in the air and in the conduct of the operation in terms of safety.
Suite ACRE is agnostic in communications (GNSS degraded/denied, 5G bubbles). It works in cloud safety, on premise adhoc for the client in their own servers...
In a Common Operational Picture (COP), it integrates all land (ground units, vehicules...), sea (surface and underwater), and air assets (manned and unmanned). Each end user brings their own device in the field (pilots, ground units, forward command posts responsibles, etc.) and the command post that coordinates and manages the entire operation. This enables situational awareness, and therefore greatly helps in decision-making.
Wave Sciences develops advanced acoustic focusing technology for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), forensic audio exploitation, and passive drone detection.
Our proprietary GLIMPSE® software engine extracts and spatially isolates subjects of interest from complex, real-world acoustic environments. Unlike conventional noise reduction and beamforming, GLIMPSE can focus in three dimensions - direction, distance, and elevation - and can focus past louder, closer sounds to recover subjects that would otherwise be obscured.
For forensic and intelligence applications, our Acoustical Focus® software enables investigators and examiners to isolate and enhance conversations from crowds, reverberant rooms, surveillance recordings, and other difficult acoustic environments. Wave Sciences technology is already used by U.S. and European government customers for operational and forensic applications.
For counter-UAS and ISR systems, GLIMPSE provides a software-based acoustic capability for passive detection, 3D localization, tracking, and extraction of drone and other signatures. The compact GLIMPSE engine can be embedded into sensor arrays, edge processors, surveillance platforms, and C2/ISR architectures to add advanced spatial hearing without requiring a dedicated Wave Sciences hardware platform.
Wave Sciences brings more than fifteen years of experience developing mission-focused acoustic technology for government, defense, intelligence, and law-enforcement users. You can find out more by visiting us at our stand (H5 547) or emailing us at [email protected].

Zuri is a Czech aircraft company building a long-range uncrewed cargo VTOL for defense and civil logistics: helicopter access with fixed-wing range, hybrid-electric and remotely piloted.
It fills the missing middle of the sky. Small drones carry a few kilograms a few dozen kilometers and need power at both ends of the route. Helicopters move tonnes at high cost per flight hour, with a crew exposed on every routine run. In between, a hundred-plus kilograms across hundreds of kilometers, onto ground with no runway, today goes by convoy, by boat, or waits.
The aircraft carries 100+ kg over 679 km by design, or 569 km with a full 30-minute reserve, cruises at 220 km/h, and lands on a pad, a deck, or open ground. A generator makes the electricity in flight, so range is set by tank size and payload, and refueling takes minutes on AVGAS, automotive gasoline, or bioethanol. Nothing new is built at either end: no runway, no vertiport, no charging installation. One operator flies it from the ground, with no one on board for the leg that carries the risk, at a fraction of a crewed helicopter's operating cost per kilogram-kilometer. Between resupply tasks, the same airframe carries the sensors and communications a mission needs.
The aircraft is ITAR-free, designed and built in the EU on a sovereign European supply base. More than fifteen aircraft have flown since 2018, all designed, built, and flown in-house in Prague. Technology Demonstrator 2.0, the full-scale demonstrator the cargo aircraft is built on, is in systems integration and ground test, with flight testing planned to begin in 2027.
