Exhibition
The philosophy of the FUTURE SOLDIER Exhibition & Conference 2012 is in compliance with the “Smart Defence” strategy. It involves the securing of defence capability and security at a lower cost, primarily through mutual international cooperation and a higher degree of flexibility.
The uniqueness of the entire event consists in the contact between direct representation of military representatives of the members states of NATO, the PfP programme and Mediterranean Dialogue and representatives of international industry and research institutions dealing with issues of soldier support in connection with newly developed technologies and materials.
The exhibition’s auxiliary programme is a thematic conference presenting new concepts in the fields of personal protection, transporting of cargo, communications and CBRN protection. The conference and exhibition will showcase lessons learned from recent international operations.
The exhibition and conference are supported to a considerable degree by a meeting of NATO HQ experts.
The direct participants among the national exhibitors at the Future Soldier exhibition are mainly professionals from defence and standardization departments and representatives of national acquisition centres, research institutions and, last but not least, the defence and security industries.
In addition to the member states of NATO, PfP and Mediterranean Dialogue, all other countries are invited that have something to offer in the area of military technology.
